THE PLOT:
An out of control ship heads to New York Harbor, Harbor Patrol finds a strange undead creature that murders of one the cops.
A team is sent to investigate the island where Voodoo and science collide. Soon the island is crawling with the living
dead. Now the question is, can they escape alive?
ZEDD'S OPINION:
Here's the hitch, when Dawn of the dead was released in Italy it wasn't called Dawn of the dead. It was called Zombi, so when
they decided to make their own sequel it was called Zombi 2. That's why there is no Zombi 1 in the states. The effects and
the dubbing are incredible. Truly one of best movies ever to come out of Italy in a long time. It's cool, the cast does a
great job and some of the most impressive creature effects up to that point. There are some minor character issues and story
glitches, but nothing major or worth really noting, I got to say that ZOMBI 2 will be appear on my top 100 best horror movies
of all time. I give it...9 STARS.
VOLTRON'S OPINION:
I agree, when Zombi 2 came to America, it was so graphic it was rated R, but strong R. No one under 17 was aloud to be admited
peroid. In essence, it was the first NC-17 movie ever. I was lucky to be 17 years old, I was impressed with the story, the
characters and the killer zombi effects. I must call it one of my favorite movies of all time too. I give it a perfect 10
STARS.
ON THE POSTIVE SIDE (+ HITS):
+ ZOMBIE EFFECTS (Coolest zombie effects in a long time, even better then the ROMERO flicks.)
+ CAST (The cast does a great job.)
+ CHARACTERS (The characters are well written.)
+ DUBBING (Very impressive acting from the voice actors.)
