THE PLOT:

A man has come to investigate a series of strange events and meets the local mad scientist, Doctor Orloff. Who claims to have created a invisible apeman creature that is totally obedient to him.

But the maid tells a different tale of how Orloff uses the creature to terrorize the local town and allows it to rape any local woman that deifies him.

ZEDD'S OPINION:

Okay, the monster is invisible through most of the movie, no footprints, no nothing. Totally invisible and when it makes an appearance near the end, it's a monkey. A monkey that can't close it's mouth. I hate monster costumes that can't close the mouth. It looks dumb. The story works and the dubbing wasn't so bad, but I would have liked to have seen a subtitled version on the DVD, to see what they changed in the dubbing, if anything...even with it's flaws, I give it...6 STARS.

VOLTRON'S OPINION:

I have to disagree, I thought the story was very well done and the invisible effects were okay. The movie is typical seventies French soft core horror flicks, all nudity and very little plot. But it's a fun movie worth checking out at least once.

+ DUBBING (The dubbing was well done)

ON THE NEGATIVE SIDE (- MISSES):

- NO FOOTPRINTS (The creature was solid enough to rape, so it should solid enough to leave.)
- MOUTH DOESN'T CLOSE (The creature's mouth doesn't close when it becomes visible)
- TOO MUCH NUDITY (The nudity became a hinderence)

AND FINALLY....

- NO SUBTITLE VERSION (Zedd was hoping there would be a subtitled version, to give us a choice)
